INTERNSHIPS

 

The New Harmony Project Internship program is designed to give emerging theater artists a further understanding of the new play development process.

NHP provides a structured learning opportunity through observerships and hands-on ownership of administrative duties. Interns are offered the unparalleled look into the new play development process and an opportunity to meet with a wide diversity of professional writers, directors, dramaturgs and actors from around the country. 

In return for their time and efforts, The New Harmony Project will provide interns with:

  • A modest stipend

  • A travel stipend

  • Dormitory-style accommodations with private bedrooms

  • Three meals a day

  • Panel conversations and social engagements with working theatre professionals

We are seeking experienced, early-career individuals who have a strong interest and personal stake in learning about the development of new plays. We are open to applicants who specialize in dramaturgy, playwriting, directing, or any other related field. Internships are offered in the areas of:

  • Company Management

  • Dramaturgy

  • Stage Management

  • Childcare Provider

  • Visual Media

  • Social Media

  • Acting (as cast)

The Application due date is March 3rd at 11:59pm ET.

All internships take place in New Harmony, Indiana and begin on May 21st with the exception of acting and stage management, which begin on May 28th.
