Script Selection & Programming

As part of our strategic planning work, we will identify new programmatic opportunities and operational infrastructure. Once this work is complete, we will begin the process of redesigning our application process from beginning to end. This will include, but is not limited to:

●      Working with writers to ensure ease of use and accessibility, while reducing any barriers to entry.

●      Formally requesting demographic information from applicants.

●      Establishing paid reader positions.

●      Ensuring more equitable representation of BIPOC, female, LGBTQ+, and persons with disabilities on all selection panels.

●      Increasing direct outreach to writers groups and organizations already supporting BIPOC, LGBTQ+, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized and underserved communities.

 

TIMELINE: Planning will commence immediately and the revised selection process will be completed and shared publicly by Fall 2021
